I am sure you have read and heard a lot about it, but leadership is not hard to conceptualise, when it comes to standing in the field and playing, you will find the practise not that easy.

While management relies more on organisational skills I would like to define leadership for you as this is what is very important. Leadership relies on skills such as integrity, honesty, courage, commitment, passion, confidence, wisdom, and sensitivity. Leadership can be developed, but it is normally in some people naturally making it easier for some to get there than others.


Let me give you three big leadership tips, which should help your leadership skills:

- Make sure you get the right person in the right position and keep your eyes open to see what everyone knows and what they can contribute to you.

- Make sure everyone is important and feels important. It is your job to make sure this is the case with all your staff!

- Do not underestimate your competitors.

What’s essential for a leader is to know yourself. Depending on the weak and strong points you have, you can create the perfect additional team around you. Then work by and with your team. Training and experience is what makes them grow. Learn about delegation. It is your key to success.


When you tell your workers what needs to be done, also explain to them why it needs to be done and have faith in them. Always take a problem on the positive side and state what should be done and what not to do. When you gain praise, share it with your staff, but accept blame and mistakes your team make. To improve you have to understand their way of thinking and working, so take your time to listen and understand the way of they work. Last but not least keep in mind to ensure that promises you make you will also deliver.
